Cyber Hit
THESE days, many stars are now being discovered through the cyber world and one of them is eighteen-year-old Communication Arts junior, Myrus, who was discovered through a social networking site. Born to a musically inclined family, Myrus is set to conquer the music scene with his gift of singing and entertaining people. Always exploring different music genres, he has developed his own style and mesmerizes his audience through his dancing and enticing rhythms. His musical influences range from local acts such as Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, and Martin Nievera to international stars such as Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Usher, and Michael Jackson. He can belt songs from standard to pop, classic to R and B.

Now, Myrus has released his debut album titled Love Cycle. It displays Myrus’s vocal abilities and versatility by incorporating pop and R and B flavors to a mostly all-Tagalog tracklist about first loves and heartbreaks. Recognized as 2008’s Most Promising Young R and B Performing Artist by the Asian Star Entertainment Awards and a Teen Ambassador for a Smoke-free Society, Myrus comes with his own brand of music with funk and soul vibe with tracks such as Ba’t Di Ko Ba Nasabi, Laging Ikaw, Pwede Ba?, and Love Cycle, among others.
